Worth waiting up to see this rare event! The red colour of the moon developed well during eclipse, before night-time mist took hold.
It was really interesting seeing the eclipsed moon alongside the stars - the bright moonlight normally washes the stars out.
Ben Lomond from The Braes, September sunset
It's been a great start to September here, dry and sunny - a great help for our long list of outdoor jobs, !
The sky around the house is busy with swallows and house martins, getting ready for the long flight to Africa. We're enjoying the antics of the greedy fledglings, who are still keen to get a feed from mum or dad!
